Clarke to present DWU Commencement address

MITCHELL – Megan Clarke, Atlanta, will present the Commencement address to the Dakota Wesleyan University Class of 2008 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Corn Palace.

Clarke, a Mitchell native, is a computer-assisted reporting specialist with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and her master’s degree, also in journalism, from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Clarke has worked in broadcast and print journalism, and she recently received the Georgia Associated Press Non-deadline Story Award. In 2007, she received the Story of the Year and Public Service awards from the Georgia Associated Press.

The daughter of John and the late Vicki Clarke of Mitchell, Megan Clarke will accept an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters on her mother’s behalf. Vicki Clarke was an avid DWU supporter and a former member of the DWU Board of Trustees.
