DWU to host Scholarship Day

MITCHELL – Dakota Wesleyan University will recognize high school seniors who have excelled in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership and community service at its annual Scholarship Day on Feb. 17.

Scholarship awards range from $8,000 to full tuition. Students competing for scholarships will be asked to write an essay and will be interviewed by DWU faculty and students.

Scholarships to be awarded include the Randall Scholarship with an award amount in the range of $10,000 and higher, and the Trustee Scholarship with a range of $8,000 and higher. Each award can be renewed annually.

To attend Scholarship Day and compete for one of these prestigious awards, students must complete an application for admission to DWU, submit the Scholarship Day Competition Application, provide copies of their high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores, submit a letter of recommendation, and submit a resume highlighting all of their school, community and leadership activities.
