Mar. 25, 2008 Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan candidates named at DWU MITCHELL, S.D. – Eleven Dakota Wesleyan University students have been selected by their classmates as candidates for Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan, the highest honor given to students in their senior year at the institution.
Candidates for the 79th Miss Wesleyan are Erin Haber, Sioux Falls; Katrina Jarding, Alexandria; Katharine Leuthold, Larchwood, Iowa; Paula Mettler, Wessington Springs; Holly Schramm, Winner; and Victoria Swanson, Winner.
Candidates for the 70th Scotchman are Gordon Dobson Jr., Broomfield, Colo.; Bronson Heth, Winner; Tristan Larsen, Mitchell; Michael Molitor, Smithwick; and Robert Salmonson, Plankinton. A committee comprised of students, staff, administrators and faculty
will select a Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan. Candidates for Scotchman
and Miss Wesleyan are judged on academics, character and overall contribution
to the university. The Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan Banquet will be at
6 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Sherman Center. |
