May 8, 2008 Eggleston plans for an Alaskan adventure
MITCHELL – Heath Eggleston, Howard, Colo., plans to travel to
Anchorage, Alaska to be involved in a treeline ecology study project
in the Noatak National Preserve from June 1 to August 8. “This program rewards hard-working students like Heath by allowing for opportunities outside their own university,” said Anthony Cole, Eggleston’s academic adviser and assistant professor of biochemistry at Dakota Wesleyan University. “While the BRIN program selects students within South Dakota, the REU program selects students on a national level. “Needless to say, I am very proud of Heath,” added Cole. “He’s opened a door that I hope other DWU students will go through." |
