May 8, 2008 Cole elected second vice president
MITCHELL – Anthony Cole, assistant professor of biochemistry at Dakota Wesleyan University, was recently elected second vice president of the South Dakota Academy of Science (SDAS) at the 93rd annual meeting of the Academy. He will serve as first vice president next year and will be the SDAS president for 2010. The purpose of SDAS is to encourage and promote research and publication in the various scientific disciplines; to strengthen the teaching of science at all levels; and to provide a forum for the scientific community so that the interpretation and dissemination of scientific information will result in a better public understanding of science. Cole has been a member of SDAS for four years. |
