Tony Campolo at DWU

Click HEREMITCHELL – Tony Campolo will speak at the Mitchell Area Youth Worship Night at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Sherman Center at DWU. He will also address the campus worship at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 in the Sherman Center. Both events are free and open to the public.

Campolo, professor emeritus at Eastern University, is the founder of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education, an organization that develops schools and social programs in various Third World countries and in cities across North America. He is the author of 35 books, his latest three being, "Letters to a Young Evangelical," "The God of Intimacy and Action," and his most recent, "Red Letter Christians, a Citizen’s Guide to Faith and Politics."

For Mitchell Area Youth Worship Night, the doors open at 6:30 p.m. and worship will conclude around 8:30 p.m. Youth are invited to join in a community worship service led by area youth pastors and the DWU campus ministry with a message by Campolo.

On Nov. 20, Campolo’s talk is “Red Letter Christians.” He will speak about how Christians relate to the world of politics.
