MITCHELL – Steve Hildebrand, deputy national campaign manager for President-elect Barack Obama, will speak at noon on Jan. 29 in Java City on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan in the McGovern Library. Hildebrand has been called "the chief architect of Barack Obama's grassroots strategy." Starting with Sen. Obama at the end of September 2006, long before the senator made a decision to seek the presidency, Hildebrand was at the forefront of all strategic decisions and helped craft the overall campaign from the beginning until the successful end on Nov. 4, 2008. Hildebrand is a founding partner of Hildebrand Tewes Consulting, a full-service consulting firm with a specialty in communications, research and grassroots strategy.
