DWU Mission Team to Host 3rd Annual
Valentine’s Banquet and Silent Auction

MITCHELL – To raise funds for a summer mission trip, DWU students will hold a Valentine’s Day banquet and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 in the East Main Dining Room in Rollins Campus Center.

Fifteen Dakota Wesleyan University students will travel to Peru on mission this May under the guidance of Brandon Vetter, campus pastor, and Leah Mellegaard, director of the Wesleyan Fund.

Tickets are $15 per person and may be purchased from the institutional advancement office at 995-2603 or from Vetter at brvetter@dwu.edu or 995-2919.

This year the silent auction items have been donated from area businesses and will be auctioned in theme packages. Some of the packages will include area restaurants, entertainment and hotel gift certificates.

The mission team will spend 10 days in Chincha, Peru, three hours south of Lima, Peru. The team will work with a group of children from the area and build a new facility to meet the growing physical and spiritual needs of Chincha. The cost for the trip is $2,000 per person.
