Aug. 23, 2010 Kelley Center welcomes JourneyPage to program
The JourneyPage program will support the entrepreneurial mindset of students and offer a virtual space where students can brainstorm, develop ideas and keep track of specific goals. The service guides students in launching and growing a profitable business by offering accountability support, access to practical articles, template resources, inspirational audio/videos and business education. “We are excited to bring an innovative and empowering program to students at Dakota Wesleyan University. Our goal is to promote entrepreneurship education to students on campus and to encourage them to think beyond the traditional workplace. Programs like the JourneyPage Virtual Business Incubator continue to find creative solutions to assist students with their career aspirations, and we are proud to be associated with this important national initiative,” said Rhonda Pole, executive director of the Kelley Center. “With hundreds of students attending the South Dakota Launch conference each year to learn from young entrepreneurs about how they can start a business, there is no doubt an interest among DWU’s students. Through JourneyPage, DWU is taking a proactive step to turn those ideas into businesses that will provide their students with jobs and boost the economy,” said Sheena Lindahl, co-founder of Extreme Entrepreneurship. JourneyPage was created by the co-founders of the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour Lindahl and Michael Simmons. The duo have been recognized by Business Week as among the top 25 Entrepreneurs under 25, and have been featured on the AOL homepage, in USA Today, and on ABC, NBC and CBS.
