Feb. 9, 2010 Winter band concert set for Thursday
MITCHELL — The Dakota Wesleyan University music department will present a free band concert Thursday. The Wesleyan University/Community Band Winter Band Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Sherman Center on campus. Twenty-nine musicians, under the direction of Brad Berens, will perform six pieces. The Wesleyan University/Community Band brings DWU students and instrumentalists from around the Mitchell area together in a synergistic multigenerational blend. Band rehearsals are Monday evenings. If interested in participating, contact Berens at Brad.Berens@k12.sd.us. The DWU choir concert is currently set for Monday, Feb. 22. |
