Anne Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree with a focus on
psychology in 1996 from Evergreen State College, located in Olympia,
Wash. She completed her master’s degree in experimental
psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno in 1998 and completed
her doctorate in experimental psychology in 2001.
Among Anne’s research interests are cognition and the visual
arts, the psychology of women, and technology and education. Before
her arrival at DWU, Anne taught at Sierra Nevada College in Incline
Village, Nev. Anne has taught industrial/organizational psychology,
applied psychology, educational psychology, and research methods
and continues to teach general psychology, history of psychology,
cognitive psychology, senior thesis, personality theories, experimental
psychology and more.
She advises student organizations, including Psi-Chi, Psychology
Club, and the Women’s Center. She received the Award for
Professional Excellence in 2003 and the Exemplary Teaching Award
in 2006. |

Randy Sprung

Randy Sprung earned his bachelor’s degree from DWU in 1978.
He completed his master’s degree at the University of Nebraska
in Omaha in 1979 and worked as a psychiatric counselor. In 1980,
Randy returned to Dakota Wesleyan to provide counseling and advising
services to American Indian students.
As an assistant professor at DWU, Randy’s responsibilities
include program development, assisting student research, and teaching
developmental psychology and general psychology. In addition,
Randy currently coordinates freshmen forum and directs advising
and testing. |

Gloria Leonard

Gloria Leonard earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary
education from Dakota Wesleyan University. She completed her master’s
degree at Highlands University in Las Vegas, N. M. and earned
her doctor of education degree from the University of South Dakota.
Gloria has taught many psychology courses, including general
psychology, developmental psychology, adolescent psychology, history
of psychology, and adjustment to aging. She makes it a point to
integrate psychological content into all her classes. Gloria enjoys
assisting students in the development of critical thinking and
self-awareness. |

George Nielson

George Nielson earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics
at Gustavus Adolphus College. He completed his Master of Divinity
degree at Augustana Theological Seminary and later earned a master’s
and doctoral degree in sociology from the University of Kansas.
George came to DWU in 1971 and continues to teach social psychology,
introduction to sociology, social problems, social theory and
more. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago and
has studied at Uppsala University in Sweden. George enjoys traveling
and likes to study social policies across cultures. He is also
interested in anthropology. |

Pam Boline

Pam Boline earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and
criminal justice from the University of South Dakota in 1977.
She completed her master’s degree in guidance counseling
in 1979 and came to DWU in 1980. She has been a counselor for
Student Support Services and is the human services department
chair.
She received the Sears-Roebuck Foundation Award for Teaching
Excellence and Campus Leadership in 1991 and the Clark Award for
Teaching Excellence in 1998. Pam has worked as a professional
consultant in areas of child abuse, domestic violence, and volunteerism.
Pam advises the Human Services Club. |
