To be a "psychologist," you must have a doctoral degree in psychology because the work psychologists do requires much more education and training than can be learned in undergraduate course work. Even so, many jobs are open to people who have a BA in psychology.
The Psychology Department prepares undergraduate psychology majors for jobs in Social Services, Mental Health Services, Health & Medical Services, Business & Industry, College Student Services, Elementary & Secondary School Services, Religious Ministries, and Law & Criminal Justice and teaches students skills necessary for successful employment.
