Verifications for Loan & Deferments
Dakota Wesleyan University uses the National Student Clearing House to process verifications and deferments for student loans. You can forward the forms from your lender directly to the Registrar's Office. The Registrar's Office will forward the forms to the National Student Clearing House, after the start of the academic term. The National Student Clearing House will notify your lender of your enrollment status.

Enrollment Verifications
Some insurance companies or scholarships require verifications of enrollment. Policy at Dakota Wesleyan University is that enrollment verifications are only provided for valid educational purposes. Therefore, the Registrar's Office will provide verification of enrollment to a bank that provides a scholarship. However, the Registrar's Office will not provide verification of enrollment to credit card companies.

If the company only requires verification of full time or part time enrollment, you may contact the Registrar's Office by email, phone, in person or us mail and request that enrollment verification be sent.

If other information is required, such as the number of hours enrolled, the number of hours earned, or grade point average, a signed release is necessary. This release must include the following information:

• specify the records to be released
• state the purpose of the disclosure
• identify the party or class of parties to whom disclosure may be made
• signed and dated by the student

Please fax or mail the written consent to release educational information to our office. This grants us permission to contact the company with the required information.
