** Indicates name on the front of the map, with one or two titles, biographical annotation and more complete listing in the back of the published map. Since publication of the SD Literary Map in 1998, some authors have published additional works. Other authors, whose works fit the map's criteria but were not availble at the time of the map's publication, have now been added to this web site. Expansion of this web site is made possible by a minigrant from the South Dakota Humantiies Council.
