Sport, Exercise and Wellness
The sport, exercise and wellness major is designed as a general studies program in exercise and sports studies. It is intended for those interested in strength and conditioning and prepares students for the goal of becoming a nationally certified strength and conditioning specialist and/or personal trainer. It is not intended for those who plan to be employed in K-12 education. Students majoring in sport, exercise and wellness must also complete a minor and/or a second major to fulfill DWU graduation requirements. Individuals interested in fitness club management should consult with the business department or Kelley Center for a minor which will assist in the development of skills in finance and management. A criminal background check may be required for this major.
