Thank you for your interest in hiring Dakota Wesleyan students and graduates! Our academic programs are designed to support critical and collaborative thinking in addition to technical skill. Each of our students is trained in effective communication, global awareness and strategic creativity. Additionally, we focus on developing individual strengths and talents to ensure professional, successful graduates.

DWU’s internship program
is designed to allow students a great deal of flexibility in selecting and arranging their internship experiences. Students may choose to receive academic credit for their internships as part of their studies, or they may use their internship experience as an opportunity for personal learning goals and career exploration.
Employers may want an intern to work on special projects, perform specific assignments, or rotate through several areas of the organization. Internship experiences are found in a variety of settings – for profit, nonprofit and government.
If your organization already has an internship program, consider selecting DWU students as interns. If you are just beginning an internship program, we would be happy to work with you in structuring your internship program. Please post available internships with the Mitchell Department of Labor
On-campus visits are held in the Rollins Campus Center near the student lounge, mailboxes and cafeteria. The best times for a campus visit are Tuesday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. due to the heavy flow of student traffic.
Typically, an 8-foot table and two chairs with access to electricity are provided, and interview areas are available upon request. Additional accommodations (i.e., wireless Internet access, food or beverages) can be arranged; please contact the Center for Talent Development for more information.
On-campus visits must be scheduled a minimum of one week in advance, and the Center for Talent Development will be happy to promote your organization’s visit if given at least two weeks advance notice. Promotions may include:
