DWU Parking Policy

Vehicles belonging to the DWU Community members must be registered.  If you are a registered student, faculty or staff, and if you receive a parking violation, an additional $50 fine will be added to your parking violation if your vehicle is not registered.

  • McGovern Library lot – open to the DWU community.
      
  • Allen Hall lot ** – open to the DWU community.
      
  • Allen Hall along the building – open to the DWU community.
      
  • Prather Hall lot – open to the DWU community.  Be mindful of visitor and 15 minute parking spots reserved for guests, not DWU community.
      
  • Hughes Parking lot – open to the DWU community from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.  No overnight parking.  
      
  • Rollins Campus Center lotCLOSED to the DWU community during business hours; this lot is open exclusively for visiting students and their families during business hours.
      
  • LBW Elementary LotCLOSED to the DWU community during business hours.  This is LBW and visitor parking only.  This is not a DWU lot.  As good neighbors, respect this restriction.
      
  • Parker Conference Center lotCLOSED - this is private parking.
      
  • Dayton Hall lot ** – open to the DWU community.
      
  • Allen Hall and Christen Family Wellness FIRE LANES – NO PARKING. This is a public safety issue. Do not park here even for a quick errand.
      
  • Street Parking –open, but be aware of snow removal alerts to avoid being ticketed and towed by the City of Mitchell.  Watch signage on individual streets for restrictions by the City.  Sign up with Nixle to receive text messages when the city plans to plow.

The university reserves the right to tow violators.
