The Instructional Technology Committee is a Dakota
Wesleyan University institutional committee with members nominated
by the Faculty Relations Committee and approved by the full faculty.
The purpose of the committee is to:
- Discuss campus issues related to the application of technology
in teaching and learning, and make recommendations to the appropriate
administrators and/or governance bodies;
- serve as the conduit through which faculty concerns related to
instructional technology can be discussed and referred to appropriate
forums for resolution or further action;
- serve as the advisory body for external grants received in support
of instructional technology, as appropriate;
- review applications and recommend recipients of annual embedding
technology mini-grants funded through the Title III grant, for
the duration of the grant;
- serve as the advisory body to the Chief Information Officer and
Instructional Technology Specialist related to campus instructional
technology matters;
- serve as the steering committee for the DWU Teaching and Learning
with Technology Roundtable (TLTR)
- discuss, develop, and forward to appropriate governance bodies
campus policies related to instructional technology; and
- develop draft academic technology plans for review and discussion
by appropriate campus governance bodies and administrators.

Other faculty members interested in serving on the Committee are
welcome to do so, with the Dean’s approval.
Faculty Divisional representatives serve one-year terms and may
be renewed.
