Technology Services

Technology support is provided to DWU faculty primarily through three different departments/offices.

Information Systems

Information Systems (IS) supports the computing infrastructure on the DWU campus, including both administrative and academic computing systems. IS maintains the campus network, including the eConnections@DWU wireless network, computer labs, faculty and staff workstation computers, and the server farm. IS also responsible for campuswide software applications, such as e-mail, Microsoft Office, and the Jenzabar administrative suite, and is tasked with overall responsibility for software management on campus. IS also maintains the Help Desk for direct user support.


McGovern Library

McGovern Library offers a wide variety of technology resources. The Library's Online Resources web page provides access to numerous online indexes and databases. Also available is a large collection of videotapes and DVDs for class and personal use, as well as circulating media equipment for use on campus. Media Services is responsible for installing and maintaining all classroom technologies and providing faculty training in equipment use. Media Services also provides digital video production services to the campus.

The campus Instructional Technology Specialist is available to help all faculty with matters related to teaching and learning with technology, including course evaluation and development, online teaching, and faculty training and consultation. This position is funded through DWU's Title III grant.

All DWU campus technology resources are under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer and Director of Learning Resources, Kevin Kenkel.



The DWU Instructional Technology web site is funded through a Title III
