Dakota Wesleyan University initiated its Teaching and Learning with Technology Roundtable (TLTR) in August 2004. What is a Teaching and Learning with Technology Roundtable? The DWU Roundtable is an open forum that meets monthly during the academic year to address campus issues related to teaching, learning, and technology. The TLTR identifies and discusses problems and recommends solutions. On a broader scale, it helps set future directions for technology and
learning at Dakota Wesleyan. It is an advisory body to the Dean, the Chief
Information Officer, and technology support staff. Participation in the
TLTR is open to anyone – faculty, staff, students, and administrators
– who have an interest in technology and its applications in teaching
and learning, and particularly those interested in addressing issues related
to technology and learning on this campus. The DWU Instructional Technology Committee serves as the steering committee for our TLT Roundtable. For additional information, see the PowerPoint presentation displayed at the TLTR’s organizational meeting in August 2004. (Accessible only from DWU domain.)
On an experimental basis, the 2005-06 schedule is devoted to shorter meetings, during the noon hour on Thursdays following chapel, with topics focused upon training requests and orientations to new technologies.
