Cleaning Out Your Kids' Rooms or Your Bookshelves/Video
Collection?
The Tanzania team, leaving May 15, would be glad to carry over any
good educational toys, games (all pieces/parts included), school supplies,
or jackets, sweaters, coats for kids at the orphanages/school where
we will be working. It's their winter now. We also will be collecting
any books and VHS or DVD videos for adults, adolescents or children
which we will donate to the lending library at the Arusha Community
Church. Donations can be dropped off at Prather Hall.
Summer Internship
The Rural Learning Center in Howard is looking for a talented and
energetic intern to codevelop change in rural communities. The intern
will receive mentoring and direction from the RLC team, network with
leaders and practitioners in the rural community development system
and learn about rural community capacity building. Responsibilities
will include assisting with the development of a framework to deliver
the Rural Housing Development Training Camp Program and developing
a prototype learning network structure that will connect communities
and rural development practitioners across the region. You must be
a full-time student, have a passion for rural communities and be eager
to learn. Salary is $5,000 to $7,000 for the summer. Send an e-mail

Summer Marketing Internship
Martin Group is looking for a marketing intern to work full-time hours
for two to three months this summer. This is a clerical position assisting
with marketing activities and customer events. Duties include: writing
and editing review reports, brochures and/or online content; distributing
internal and external correspondence; collection and compilation of
data for reports and presentations. Candidate should be in pursuit
of or have completed a degree in marketing or another degree with
applicable coursework. The successful candidate will possess strong
writing and editing skills and have strong organizational skills.
