Visitor Parking
DWU offers nearby parking to any spot on campus. All buildings are ADA compliant. If you have mobility limitations, please contact us in advance of your visit so we can accommodate you and make getting around campus easier. Call 605-995-2650 to make arrangements.

Attending an event in the Sherman Center? Since the Sherman Center is in the center of campus, you’re within a block of the main doors no matter where you park. The closest parking is right behind the Rollins Campus Center on the south side (Hurst St.). However if that is full, try the parking lot at L.B. Williams or on the north side of the Dakota Discovery Museum.

Are you venturing into the historic Patten-Wing Theatre in Hughes Science Hall? The nearest parking to Hughes Science Hall is in the lot at Williams and W. University, and all along W. University Ave.

Touring DWU? Students and their families usually meet their counselor in the admissions office in the Rollins Campus Center. Since the campus center is in the middle of campus, you’re within a block of the main doors no matter where you park. The closest parking is in the lot just south of the campus center (Hurst St.). However if that is full, try the parking lot at L.B. Williams or on the north side of the Dakota Discovery Museum. The parking lot at Williams and W. University is also a good choice.

Fans of NAIA wrestling and volleyball will be searching for parking close to the Christen Family Recreation/Wellness Center. For best parking, use the lot to the south of the Dakota Discovery Museum via the entrance on Duff St., or try the L.B. Williams lot off W. University, or try one of the closest spots in the lot on Hurst St. just south of the Rollins Campus Center.

Coming to visit the president? He’s in Smith Hall and is easily accessible from the parking lot on McCabe St. The lot on Williams and W. University is also close, as is the lot just north of the Dakota Discovery Museum.

The McGovern Library and Center for Leadership and Public Service shares a “right across the street” parking lot with the Dakota Discovery Museum. You’ll be practically right outside the front door!

And if you’re visiting the Dakota Discovery Museum, there is parking on both the north and south side of the building. The north side offers a driveway to the front door, and the south side lot gives you a sneak peak at the museum’s outdoor exhibits. Both lots offer great parking.
