Editor's note: Many thanks to those of you who contacted us with information about your ties to DWU. Wow! There was certainly some detective work that went into the gathering of information. We would like to offer a few disclaimers. We did our best to determine family relationships where they weren't clarified. If you wonder why your family is not listed, it is probably because no one in the family contacted us. For the most part, we did not rely on institutional memory of families who have had many members attend DWU because we didn't want to risk inaccuracies. We relied on alumni and readers to contact us with the information. However, if you sent information and it's not listed below, please contact us. That is an oversight that we would like to correct in the online version of Wesleyan Today and in a future published issue.

Delores Leonard Wolberstein '54 is a cousin to the Nielsons. Marjorie's grandson, Tyson Theeler, is a '97 grad; her son-in-law, Jack Theeler, is a former trustee and DWU business law instructor. James Beddow, DWU president from 1981 to 1993, is also Marjorie's son-in-law, and is married to her daughter, Jean. Charles Bates '63, the son of Marjorie's husband, Lyndon Bates, completes the DWU connection.

Pam Pagel Palmer '68, English instructor at DWU, sent this information about the Pagel and Palmer family connections. Grace Lucile Pagel and her husband, Laren Spear, graduated in 1921. Laren Spear and his brother, Charles, received honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees at the same commencement ceremony around 1940. Catherine Morgan, a foster daughter of the Pagel family, graduated in 1926. Pam's husband, David '69; son, Kyle 2001; first cousin, Don Rahn '53; and niece, Jennifer Foss '89, complete the list.

Laurie Langland, DWU archivist, has extensive family ties to DWU. Her parents, Courtney Hall '59 and Mary Klinger Hall '59; uncle, Rodney Hall '57; her father's cousins, Gladys Hershey '33, Elizabeth Hershey Anderson '34, Shirley Anderson '61, Ethelyn Hershey Bovee '35, Hallie Hershey Blombeck '39, Florence Hershey Moir Fristad '36, Hazel Hershey Wheeldon '37, Laurel Wheeldon Nimmons '67, Irma Hershey Slocum '43, Vail Hershey '37, Diana Hershey Gregory '70, Vae Hershey Lambert Albright '67, Beverly Marsden Duffel '67 and Jerry Waldleigh '68.
