Pam's involvement with the Human Services Club and her encouragement in the classroom persuaded me to participate in many acts of helping and service to others while a student at DWU. Those projects helped to open my eyes to the number of people in need in Mitchell and beyond. Her courses also helped me recognize the number of career opportunities available to those interested in helping others. Pam's influence followed me as I graduated from Dakota Wesleyan and began a two-year graduate program in social work at Boston College. As I studied, worked at internships, and watched and learned from my professors and classmates, I was constantly aware of the quality education and experiences I had received at DWU.
Many DWU students have learned from Pam the importance of working to serve and help others throughout their lives. I hope current and future students will recognize the caring, knowledgeable and service-minded advocate they have in Pam and take advantage of her willingness to help students succeed. by Ann Schroyer '99 Dakota Wesleyan University |
