1930s
Julian Hartt '32, HD'59 recently turned 91 years old. Julian lives in Charlottesville, Va.
1940s
William Hersey ex'49 is looking for a copy of the 1943-44 Tumbleweed. He created drawings for that edition of the yearbook and does not have a copy. If you can help him, contact him at 3075 Sierra Hwy., Apt. 5, Rosamond, Calif., 93560-7309.
1950s
Bill Houk '50 took two trips this spring - one to the southeast United States and one to Connecticut. Bill and his wife, LouOra Nelson Busk Houk '51, live in Mitchell.
Clair Mitchell '51 became assisting pastor at Westwood United Methodist Church in Los Angeles in July. He and his wife, Phyllis, now live near their son and family.
Francis ex'54 and Maxine Isakson c'52 Nelson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 2. The Nelsons live in White Lake.
Patricia Pratt Niere MH'59 recently earned a Doctorate in Ministry from the Claremont School of Theology. She is currently an associate pastor at Willowbrook United Methodist Church in Sun City, Ariz. Patricia and her husband, Glenn, live in Sun City.
1960s
DeeDee Britton '64 is enjoying her retirement after 34 years of teaching. DeeDee lives in Madison, Wis.
Georgiann Crum Crouse '64 retired in June after 22 years as a high school counselor in Casper, Wyo. Now she and her retired husband, Stuart Crouse '65, will divide their time between Casper and Mesa, Ariz.
Terry Kurtz '67 is in his 35th year teaching high school U.S. history and cinematography and was named teacher of the month for Victorville Schools in December. He enjoys coaching his son's Little League games and playing on two softball teams. Terry, his wife, Rebecca, and their family live in Victorville, Calif.
Gary Miller '69 will retire from his FDIC financial management position on Sept. 30. He and his wife, Jackie, have purchased a retirement home in Park City, Kan., and will move there after Gary's retirement.
1980s
Rowena Ruge Miller AA'80 is unable to work due to a disability and would love to hear from the nursing Class of 1980. She and her husband, Ron, recently had a surprise visit from Pat AA'81 and Trish Blando from Texas. Rowena and Ron live in Grand Island, Neb.
Cheryl Bamberg Reinesch AA'81 works as a clerk/carrier for the United States Postal Service in Chamberlain. Cheryl, her husband, David, and their three children live on a farm south of White Lake.
Jim Meeker '87 is stationed in Bahrain serving at the naval base clinic. His wife, Pam, is living in Michigan until he returns.
1990s
Dave Aslesen '93 received an appointment to Riverside United Methodist Church in Riverside, Ill., where he lives.
Carey Trapp Hansen '98 is a black belt with the process excellence team at Conseco Finance. She also works as a senior high youth worker at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church. Carey, her husband, Jared, and their children live in Rapid City.
Weddings
Jim Follett '71 married Roxane Pfaff in February 2002. Several DWU friends attended the ceremony, including Dennis Coleman ex'70, Barry Muxen ex'71, Craig Peterson ex'70, Harold Reese '70 and Bryant Welles ex'71. The Folletts live in Pasadena, Calif.
Nicole Morrison '96 married Greg Mathern June 14, 2002. Gary '94 and Laura Cromley '93 Walters performed the ceremony. The Matherns live in Bismarck, N.D.
Births
Kenny and Ellie Arhart AA'90 Kleinsasser announce the birth of a son, Zachary Paul, born Feb. 12, 2002. Ellie works at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital as a registered nurse. The Kleinsassers live in Woonsocket.
Troy and Laurie Becvar '93 Trygstad announce the birth of twin daughters, Elizabeth Grace and Jessica Kate, born Nov. 14, 2001. The Trygstads live in Dell Rapids.
Brian and LaDawn Sterk '96 Weidner announce the birth of a son, Jonathan Thomas, born May 21, 2002. Jonathan joins siblings Erica, Jacob and Emily at home in Mitchell.
Eric '97 and Robin Schlimgen announce the birth of a son, Teegan Matthew, born May 10, 2002. The Schlimgens live in Sioux Falls.
Jared and Carey Trapp '98 Hansen announce the birth of a daughter, Ashlynn Kathleen, born Jan. 17, 2002. Ashlynn joins brother, Devin, at home in Rapid City.
Billy and Kristi Miller '99 Schneider announce the birth of a daughter, Morgan Taylor, on Oct. 17, 2001.

CORRECTION: In the last edition of Wesleyan Today, we incorrectly published a death notice for Joan Tischler Hohn ex'52. Her husband, Virgil Hohn, passed away on Feb. 15, 2002. We apologize for the error.
