Calamity
Jane: The
Woman and the Legend
“In fact, an accurate, chronological narrative of Martha
Canary’s life is long overdue, if for no other reason than
to correct the vast amount of misinformation circulating about
her.” – Jim McLaird ’62, professor emeritus of
history/political science in his book, “Calamity Jane: The
Woman and the Legend”
Jim McLaird’s long-awaited book rolled off the press in late
summer and its popularity has kept McLaird busy with book signings
and interviews from across the country. It is receiving acclaim as
the definitive book on the legend of Martha Canary, aka Calamity
Jane.
Called
to Duty

but how God was with us, watching
over us every day.” – Myles Tieszen ‘84
Myles Tiesen
recounts his experience in Iraq at the beginning of Operation Iraqi
Freedom.

the team effort. Face
