Assistant Professor in the Department of Math and Department Chair of Education
Dr. Ashley Digmann is the chair of the Dakota Wesleyan Department of Education. Digmann began as an adjunct instructor of mathematics at Dakota Wesleyan in 2011 and joined full time in 2013. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary math education from DWU, a Master of Arts in mathematics education from Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska, and her Doctor of Education degree in leadership from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. She was awarded the Exemplary Teaching Award from DWU in 2015 and the Clarke Award for Teaching Excellence in 2016. She is a member of the South Dakota Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics, Sigma Zeta honor society and is the local Phi Kappa Phi honor society president. She is also the campus assessment coordinator and system coordinator for accreditation.
