Education History: Augustana University (BA degree in music education), University of South Dakota (Master of Music degree in trumpet performance and a Master of Music degree in conducting), University of Kansas (currently working on a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting)

Professional History: She conducts the Wesleyan Band and the Tiger Pep Band – which was begun when she joined the staff. Before coming to DWU, Amundson taught band in Wessington Springs, S.D., and at T.F. Riggs High School in Pierre, S.D. She is a member of South Dakota Music Education Association, College Band Directors National Association, South Dakota Bandmasters, Phi Beta Mu, and serves as the Tri-M chairwoman on the board of directors for SDMEA.

Areas of Expertise: Instrumental conducting, brass (specifically trumpet) performance, music education

Hobbies: Hiking, canoeing, reading, traveling
