Opportunities for CNAs

CNA Training

CNA Training is a comprehensive 75-hour training course offered in partnering communities and on the Dakota Wesleyan University campus. We are offering classes in the following communities: Wagner, Parkston, Freeman, Mitchell, Huron, Wessington Springs and Platte. The dates of classes will vary. You must be 16 years old to take the class. There are no other prerequisites. There is no application process. Potential participants can communicate with program coordinators Stacey Patzlaff, Melissa McMillen and Natalie VanDrongelen about which class offering they would like to take. Our program is funded by the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation grant to DWU. There is no expense for the class and testing to become certified. See the following calendar to find available classes.

High-Fidelity Nursing Simulation

High-Fidelity Nursing Simulation are modules developed through the Dakota Wesleyan University Rural Nursing Initiative mobile resource center to be offered in our partnering communities. We will be offering simulation training in the following communities: Wagner, Parkston, Freeman, Mitchell, Huron, Wessington Springs and Platte. The dates and times for these offerings will vary.
