Fair Day Schedule
7:00 a.m. — Doors open for project set-up. Student advisors should obtain packets at the registration table. Students must remain in the Gym until receiving approval from the Display & Safety Committee. All projects must be ready for inspection no later than 8:15 a.m.
7:15 a.m. — Display and Safety Committee begins inspecting projects. Students whose projects have been approved are to leave the project area until interviews at Noon.
8:30 a.m. — Judges meet at Dakota Wesleyan’s Christen Wellness Center.
9:15 – 11:30 a.m. — First Round of Judging. Students and advisors are excluded from the project area until Noon. Judges’ lunch is provided.
Noon – 2:30 p.m. — Second round of judging – ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST STAND BY THEIR PROJECTS FOR INTERVIEWS. (Only student participants and judges are allowed in the project area.)
12:15 p.m. — The Fair Director and Assistant Director meets will all teachers/advisors in Knox Conference Room of Rollins Campus Center.
2:00 p.m. — Projects are opened to the public until 5:00 p.m.
3:30 p.m. — Presentation of awards begins in the Christen Family Recreation/Wellness Center.
5:00 – 5:30 p.m. — Project teardown begins immediately following the Awards Ceremony. Note: Grand award winners, their advisors, and parent(s) will meet in CWC101 to discuss attendance at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, AZ, May 12-18, 2019.
