DWU announces new member of board

Myles Tieszen, of Omaha, Neb., is the newest member of the Dakota Wesleyan University Board of Trustees.

Tieszen was born in Freeman, S.D., and graduated from Marion High School, Marion.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dakota Wesleyan in 1984 and his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, in 1989. He is a general surgeon with CHI Alegent Creighton Clinic in Omaha and an assistant clinical professor for the department of surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine.

Before CHI, Tieszen also worked for Ministry Medical Group in Wisconsin, Yankton Surgical Associates in Yankton, and Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals in Michigan.

Tieszen is married to Valary Tieszen and they have six children.
