DWU to host area poet on campus

The Dakota Wesleyan University Department of English invites the public to a free poetry reading next week.

Christine Stewart-Nuñez, associate professor of English at South Dakota State University, will give a free poetry reading at 7 p.m., Friday, April 6, in Knox Conference Room, Rollins Campus Center. This is free and open to the public.

Stewart-Nuñez will read selections from her two newest books of poetry, “Untrussed” and “Bluewords Greening,” with particular attention to how research can frame personal experience.

Christine Stewart-Nuñez is the author of “Untrussed” (University of New Mexico Press 2016), “Bluewords Greening” (Terrapin Books 2016), “Keeping Them Alive” (WordTech Editions 2010), and “Postcard on Parchment” (ABZ Press 2008). She is an associate professor in the English department at South Dakota State University, Brookings. Find her work at
