I want to show people that DWU is a place where they can thrive. Also, I love meeting new people and making new friends so I saw this as a great opportunity for that as well.

Why did you get involved with Res Life?
I instantly knew that Res Life was something I wanted to do. My older brother was an R.A., and it sounded like something I would be good at. After meeting my R.A., the director of res life, and everybody else, I knew it would be awesome. After getting into it, it has turned out to be way awesomer (yes, "awesomer") than I imagined. I love getting to know all of the awesome people on my floor and in the dorms, helping them out, and getting woken up at 3 in the morning. It’s hard work, but worth it!

What are some fun facts about you that people may or may not know?
My right arm is longer than my left. I grew 8 inches my freshman year of high school, and only gained 3 lbs. I can horror scream like a girl better than most girls. I know a TON about birds and can identify most North American birds from far away just by the way they fly, what they eat, what they look like, their calls, or any other unique qualities about them (I know, weird). I have been spelunking several times and love it. I have seven siblings, and my amazing parents home-schooled all of us. My mother was a professional Prima Ballerina for the Kansas City Ballet for eight years, but then gave it up to raise a family. I lived in New York for 15 years and never saw New York City.

What are some fun facts about you that people may or may not know?
I cannot grow a beard.  I am an information nerd.  I know way too much about things that don’t matter.  Someday this will come in handy, I just know it!
