Education History: Heidelberg University (B.A. in Political Science and Public Relations), Michigan State University (M.A. in Political Science), Michigan State University ( Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education)

Professional History: Served in Student Affairs at Michigan State University, 16 years at Wartburg College; served in faculty development, community engagement, service-learning, as well as served as the Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives and as the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students.

Hobbies: Reading, hiking with family, listening to music, and playing and watching basketball.

Family: My wife, Ashley Kittle, a conservation professional with a special interest in ecosystems management. We have an outgoing 8-year old son, Grant, who enjoys being active, Cub Scouts and being outside.

What do you love most about DWU?: The people, who are committed to each other, and to the mission of the university. As a result of that spirit, there is an energy at DWU that leads to a "can do" attitude, one where we are nimble and focused on doing what is best for students.
