Melissa McMillen, the Rural Nursing Initiative CNA program coordinator, joined the Dakota Wesleyan staff in 2015 when the RNI was created on campus. In addition to being the CNA program coordinator, she also teaches health assessment and fundamentals of nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science-Nursing degree from Mount Marty College and a Master of Science-Nursing degree from Western Governors University, Salt Lake City, Utah. Her master’s thesis research focused on the factors that influence NCLEX pass rates. McMillen is also a member of the South Dakota Nurses Association and the National League of Nursing.
