Education History: South Dakota State University (BS degree in Family and Consumer Science Education major, Human Development Family Studies minor), University of Wisconsin-Madison (MS degree Educational Psychology)
Professional History: Stephanie began her professional career as a Family and Consumer Science teacher in Rapid City, SD. She continued her teaching career at Rio Middle and High School in Rio, WI and also taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Parkston Junior and Senior High School in Parkston, SD for ten years. During her time in Parkston, Stephanie received various recognitions for her service as a chapter advisor in the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of American (FCCLA) organization, including Master Adviser, Mentor Advisor, South Dakota Adviser of the Year, and the Spirit of Advising Award. She served as president of the South Dakota Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Science (SDATFCS) in 2021/2022, and was chosen as the SDATFCS Post-Secondary Educator of the Year in 2021 and 2022.

Hobbies: Stephanie's hobbies include cooking, photography, and spending time with family.
Family: Stephanie and her husband (Jared) have three daughters (Aubrey, Emily, and Anna).
What do you love most about DWU?: I love the sense of community at DWU and the focus on servant leadership. I admire the ways in which our students regularly give back to others in the community.
