DWU Alumni Ambassador Expectations
Lead by Example
- Participate in a Zoom call 1-2 times per year to learn of updates from the alumni office and the President.
- Communicate frequently with other alumni, informing them of news and engagement opportunities and securing their attendance at events.
- Participate in the annual Day of Giving through promotion and execution.
- Assist in generating ideas for alumni events and activities.
- Support Dakota Wesleyan by making a gift of any size to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund.
Easy Ways Alumni Ambassadors Can Help
- Actively share and participate in social media promoting Dakota Wesleyan.
- Share alumni news stories with the alumni office to be featured in the Wesleyan Today Class Notes and alumni e-newsletter.
- Serve as a resource to current students through a variety of activities, including sharing job and internship opportunities, speaking to a class, mentoring or serving on a panel.
- Write notes of congratulations to the newest DWU graduating class each year in a coordinated effort with the Advancement office.
- Serve as a host at various Blue & White Days activities.
- Consult with the alumni office to identify graduates who may be candidates for Distinguished Alumni Awards.
