SUMMARY OF COACHING
Each coach will receive professional training and development to serve as a coach and advisor. Each coach will also assist with engagement of classroom learning, provide referrals to DWU support services as needed, and serve as the primary liaison with internships sites, playing a central role in the evaluation of student progress at the internship site.
Coaches are expected to connect with their student regularly, i.e. a bi-weekly phone call or personal meeting. During meetings, coaches will review applied learning and internship progress to offer advice and assistance. Coaches will gather feedback from internship sites and complete an evaluation between the site and student monthly. Coaches will be responsible for completing assessment information for each student at the end of each four-month block of learning.
