Health and Safety Precautions
COVID-19 SYMPTOMS:
- Temperature of 100.4 or higher
- Repeated shaking or chills
- Cough (new or different than normal)
- Shortness of breath (not associated with preexisting conditions such as asthma)
- New loss or smell and/or taste
- Loose stools/upset stomach (for longer than 12 hours)
- Muscle pain (not associated with new activity)
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Congestion
If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms:
- STAY HOME or in your dorm room
- Use the #CampusClear App to report symptoms
- Contact the DWU Response Team
- Contact professors, coach or your work supervisor
- If symptoms persist, contact Avera Health at 1-877-AT-AVERA or https://amcc.force.com/COVID19/s/. Identify yourself as a DWU student.
If you test positive for COVID-19:
- Remain at home, dorm room or off-campus housing
- Notify the DWU Response Team, professors, coach and/or your work supervisor
- Do not return to class or work until 3 days have passed with no symptoms
- DWU student-athletes must have clearance from a licensed medical professional (M.D., D.O., P.A., or N.P.) prior to returning to practice and class.
- Practice vigilant hygiene
- The DWU Response Team and AVERA@HOME will check in with you daily
If you are in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:
- STAY HOME or in your dorm room
- Use the #CampusClear App to report contact
- Contact the DWU Response Team. You will be given direction about when you should be tested.
- Contact professors, coach or your work supervisor.
- If symptoms occur, contact Avera Health at 1-877-AT-AVERA or https://amcc.force.com/COVID19/s/. Identify yourself as a DWU student.
- You must remain in quarantine for 14 days, even if you have a negative test result.
