DWU student to present at national ACS conference

On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Sioux Valley Local Section of the American Chemistry Society hosted its annual student poster competition at Augustana University in Sioux Falls. DWU student Hunter Birozy, along with his research partner, Bodie Murray of Augustana, presented a poster on work they had done during last summer’s research project at USF. They and their poster, “Investigating optimal crosslinkers for dopamine molecularly imprinted chemical sensors,” took home one of the three undergraduate prizes. Thanks to that win, the two have a $400 travel award to present this work at a regional or national American Chemical Society conference.
