Starry Saturday event upcoming Sept. 19
DWU will bring another unique astronomy experience to campus as professors of Astronomy bring NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night to Mitchell.

MITCHELL – Dakota Wesleyan University will bring another unique astronomy experience to campus as professors of Astronomy Dr. Michael Farney and Dr. Joan Lubben bring NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night to Mitchell.
The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, in the Corrigan Health Sciences Center from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This is a drop-in event so attendees can come and go as they please.
Multiple telescopes will be set up to observe the moon, along with interpretive posters to help locate famous lunar landmarks and Apollo lunar landing sites.
Additionally, activities for the younger visitors will be available and a short full-dome video on lunar rocks will be showing in the Florence Glenny Farney Planetarium Dome.
Be a part of the one million participants in this wonderful evening of lunar astronomy.
