Let Your Light Shine
Worship is a vital part of the Christian faith and a vital part of life here on campus. While it’s certainly not mandatory, participating in campus ministry worship and activities can help you make friends and provide you with an extensive support system.
Campus Worship Services
We offer weekly worship experiences on campus, as well as several other seasonal and special services. All services are open to seekers and believers, to growth and questions, to commitment and passion, and to service and witness.
- Weekly worship: 11 a.m. in the Sherman Center every Thursday.
- Worship Under the Stars is an evening of worship centered around music, scripture and prayer. Worship Under the Stars happens in a variety of settings on selected Monday nights during the semester.
- Fusion United Methodist Church meets every Sunday in the Sherman Center. Fusion offers a great opportunity for contemporary worship with students and those from the Mitchell community.
- Holy Days: We celebrate Ash Wednesday and other holy days throughout the year.
A Message from Campus Pastor Eric VanMeter
Welcome to DWU! We seek to create a safe space where you can ask the tough questions of faith, where you are always welcome and where you are accepted just as you are.
When you get involved in campus ministry, it’s important for you to know that you won’t stay the same.
Through the worship opportunities, small groups and service opportunities, God will transform your heart and your mind through the Holy Spirit, turning them toward Jesus Christ.
It does not matter if you have gone to church all of your life or if you are just curious about this God-thing. You are invited to explore with us this adventure of living as a follower of Christ.
Come and be transformed with us!
In Christ's service,
