For the second consecutive weekend, the Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music at Dakota Wesleyan University will be performing live music. This time, the LyricWood Orchestra will have the floor inside the Sherman Center, Sunday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m.

In honor of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, the LyricWood Orchestra will be performing Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 14 op. 131 in C-sharp minor and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. The symphony was one of Beethoven’s earliest works, and the quartet was Beethoven’s last work. This is the first time LyricWood will perform a full, four movement symphony with winds.

The event will be livestream only and available via

The LyricWood Orchestra is conducted by Dr. Bethany Amundson and directed by Elizabeth Soladay.
