The CEO Club at Dakota Wesleyan University is hosting a food drive for the Mitchell Weekend Snack Pack Program this Wednesday.

Members of the CEO (business/entrepreneurship) Club will collect food items during the DWU basketball games vs. Dordt College on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Corn Palace, and will donate those items to the Snack Pack program. The games begin at 6 and 8 p.m.

“The Mitchell Weekend Snack Pack is such a wonderful program in our community,” said Teresa Quinn, the club’s adviser. “I believe the program is up to about 375 easy-to-prepare meals for children each week. DWU students have assisted with packing and food drives for years, as have many churches, organizations and MTI. It’s a community effort to keep this organization going and we hope everyone will consider grabbing one of these food items on their way out the door and their way to the game.”

Items needed include: cans of tuna, macaroni and cheese (boxes or cups), canned fruit, Ramen noodles, and pasta. CEO will give a ticket for a chance to win a $20 gift card to the DWU Campus Bookstore for every item of non-perishable food donated.

Last year, the CEO Club collected 420 food items during the same event and Quinn hopes to break that record this year.
