Dakota Wesleyan University will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. All offices and the McGovern Library will be closed.
The campus will return to regular summer office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday, May 28. The McGovern Library will be closed Saturday through Monday, May 25-27, for the holiday. The library will reopen Tuesday, May 28, with summer hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and closed on the weekends.
Dakota Discovery Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, and Monday, May 27, but closed on Sunday. The holiday admission will be $5 for adults and seniors and $3 for children 7 to 17 years old. Museum guests on Monday will get a sneak peek at the museum’s newest exhibit, “New Land-New Hope,” which tells the story of African Americans in South Dakota. The formal opening for this exhibit will be June. 18.
