Prairie Business Magazine has released its list of the 50 Best Places to Work in the northern Plains and Dakota Wesleyan University made the list for the second consecutive year.
Prairie Business received more than 1,400 nominations this year from employees from around the region and Dakota Wesleyan is the only college or university on this year’s list. Employees nominate their organization by submitting an anonymous employee-satisfaction survey, and selections are made using the results. The survey seeks input regarding employer’s benefits, workplace culture and employee morale, among other factors.
Dakota Wesleyan University President, Amy Novak, commends faculty and staff members for this recognition.
“The university’s growth and success over the past decade reflects the incredible loyalty and commitment of a dedicated group of faculty and staff,” said Novak. “Culture matters in organizations and this award affirms the commitment we have made to building a great place to work.”
The contest is now in its fifth year, and Prairie Business publisher, Korrie Wenzel, is impressed by the participation and feedback they’ve seen over the years.
“Each year, it seems we’re awed by the number of nominations we receive,” said Wenzel. “This year, it has happened again. And after reading through the nominations, it is hard not to be impressed by the passionate comments made by so many employees at these great companies.”
The 50 Best winners will be honored in the magazine, which is now available online at www.prairiebusinessmagazine.com.
