Palm Sunday concert set at Dakota Wesleyan

The Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music at Dakota Wesleyan University will present its Palm Sunday Concert, featuring the Dakota Wesleyan Choir and LyricWood Orchestra, at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at the DWU Sherman Center. This concert is free and open to all.

Selections for the concert include Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G Major,” and Cantata No. 4 “Christ Lag in Todesbanden.”  The LyricWood strings will perform “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 9” for strings and the Dakota Wesleyan Choir will join LyricWood to perform “All Glory, Laud and Honor” and “A Tree Once Stood.”

DWU will also perform its Spring Music Concert on April 28 at the Sherman Center. The Spring Concert will feature the Dakota Dynamics, Highlanders, Singing Scotchmen,  Wesleyan Bells and Dakota Wesleyan Band.
